News Module

 News Module is a set of short text messages, each of which has its own name (title), small image and date of publication. News on the site are combined into the set of news for example, separate sets of news can exist for the news of the company and news each of its partners. In addition, except for the news in the classic understanding, this module can be used for any information which can be organized similarly, e.g. vacancies, notes, corporate blog etc.

 

The inset of news is used in control system for the news management (the second icon is in the horizontal menu), or transition from a section «Structure». On this inset we see the list of all of sets of news, registered in the system. There are three icons for  management in every set of news   edit content, edit settings and delete. Editing of settings and delete work the same as the corresponding icons in the section of structure.

 

Clicking the icon of editing we get on the page of the set of news. On this page we can add news in a set, and also delete and edit those, that exist already. At addition and editing of news such fields are filled or changed:

 

The name of news is a title under which news will be represented on the site.

 

Date is a date which will be represented next to news, and, which will put in an order news on the site. If there is no necessity to show a date, it is possible to remove a small flag «show a date». In this case news will be represented without a date. 

 

Image is the possibility to add a picture - illustration to the news. A picture is chosen from your files and downloaded on a server. 

 

Description is a thumb-nail sketch of news, which will be represented in the set. The complete text of news is set the next field.

 

Text is your text of news. Clicking on the title of news it is possible to get from the set of news on a site to the page with this text. 

 

The amount of news on one page is set by a parameter «amount of elements on a page» in settings of the set of news.
